Enid A. Haupt Conservatory

Enid A. Haupt Conservatory

An Epic Renovation.

Linel_Divider

The Enid A. Haupt Conservatory was built between 1898-1901. By the early 1990s it was clear this New York historic landmark was in desperate need of renovation. Previous renovations had radically modified the original design and the new plans included restoring the conservatory as it was original envisioned. Linel's scope was to replace all framing with new aluminum extrusions.
Meticulous field measurements were taken by hand as computer scanning technology was not yet available. In all, over 6.5 miles of measurements had to be perfect or the glass, supplied by others, would not fit. Linel was honored to be part of this extraordinary endeavor preserving this historic landmark for years to come.
