Linel designed a historic profile skylight system to replicate the original skylights on this 115-year-old building. The new skylight system utilized insulated glass units with a total of five different frit patterns and two DuPont white PVB interlayer sheets to control daylighting levels. Linel's in-house paint services created a custom exterior paint finish, patina copper, that matched the color of the existing aged copper roofing. Additional challenges during installation were met as the Installation team chased the demotion team so closely there was only a very small seam at the end of each day. Construction schedule was also arranged to occur over each gallery during the change between museum exhibits.
